GET IN TOUCH

Do you offer only online assessments and why?

Yes, most of the assessment process happens online. An autism assessment requires a 2 hr in-clinic appointment. Many clients enjoy participating in the assessment process from the comfort of their home. Plus, it helps keep the waiting times shorter for our clients.

Will I receive an official diagnosis?

Yes. Our assessment process is in compliance with current DSM-5 requirements. We use official diagnostic tools and offer a valid assessment report that can be used in educational and work settings.

Will the assessment help secure academic/work accommodations?

If you qualify for a diagnosis, you will be able to apply for university or work accommodations. A letter stating your diagnosis can be provided upon request free of charge.

What’s next after I get diagnosed?

After the assessment is complete, you will have a chance to participate in a brief coaching program. You will also be guided to secure medication, accommodations and tax credit, if you qualify.

Do I need a referral to start the process?

We do not require a referral. However, some insurance providers do require a doctor’s referral.

Each assessment has a fixed flat-rate fee. No additional fees are involved. Please email for up-to-date fee information.

We offer a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Family and Couples Therapy, and more. Our therapists work with you to determine the best approach based on your individual needs.

Are the assessment fees covered by my insurance? What if I’m a university student?

Private and work insurance policies cover psychological services up to a maximum per year. Full time university students are also covered.

What is your waitlist like?

Online assessment practices allow us to significantly cut down wait times. Please keep in mind that each assessment takes about a month to complete after the first meeting.

What are the benefits of getting an ADHD/autism/LD assessment

Most clients seeking the assessment get validation of their unique life experience. It also helps them to move forward in life and get essential work and school accommodations.

What if I’m too old for the assessment?

Many adults decide to get assessed later in life. This enriches their understanding of themselves and the difficulties they are faced with, and helps them get “unstuck”.

Where is the clinic based and who can participate in the assessment?

Our clinic is based in Montreal. Even though the assessments are conducted online, only residents of Quebec can participate

How are the online sessions conducted?

For the interview sessions you can use your phone. For testing sessions you will need a laptop or another large screen device. Meetings are conducted on Zoom or a similar platform. You may wish to use headphones for better sound and privacy.

Will the information I share remain confidential?

Your information remains strictly confidential, unless we are worried about your safety, or that of someone you care for or if you give us permission to share the information with someone (i.e. your doctor, university, your partner, etc.).
